We just got back from seeing Dad and he looks very good! (Anson and Ella went too and enjoyed seeing Papa... we only stayed a few minutes as to not overwhelm him with their extra "energy". :o) Amy and Andy are still here until tomorrow and my Mom stays with him most of the day. He is still having pain, as expected, in his chest incision but it looks a lot better than I had imagined! He took his first stroll after his lunch today and he was not really looking forward to it. But he said that it felt good to get up and move his legs! The hardest part was standing up from the sitting/laying position. But they tell us you have to start out with baby steps to get the recovery on the way. We also heard from one of the nurses that the diabetes could be a temporary thing... maybe it takes a while for his blood sugar to regulate after heart surgery?? The doctor will explain it to us when we talk to him next, but for now he is not on a diabetic diet. Please keep him in your prayers as he continues to make progress toward a full recovery and a new lease on life! On behalf of my Mom and the rest of my family, we really appreciate all the phone calls and letters and e-mails! I take everything to the hospital and show it to Dad so he knows he's being remembered. But he is anxious to get home! :o)

We've just now been able to catch up with your family. Please tell your Dad that he's being prayed for around the world!
