I get by with a little help... from Anson!

Anson is really into helping and doing things all by himself now! He is quite good with the vacuum now and helps a little in the kitchen. We made little pizzas the other day and he put the cheese on all by himself. I can't believe that I have a child old enough to really help! I'm getting old.
PS: I changed the background to the owl because Dusty and Anson saw an owl in our back yard last week! Anson was so excited to finally see an owl that he called both sets of grandparents just to tell them the story!

I'm In The Lord's Army! Yes Sir!

Uncle Chad taught this song to Anson at Christmas time and he wanted to share it with everyone! I know I'm his Mom, but I get such a big kick out of him. He is a very active, rough and tumble, yet very loving, big-hearted and all-around good boy! We're very proud of him!

Fun Times!

I just had to post this video of Ella laughing! We were just finishing dinner and Anson started being silly with his spoon... Ella evidently thought he was hilarious! You can tell it is almost bedtime! :o)

Friday we went to the zoo and had a great time, as always. Ella really enjoyed it this time and it was fun to watch her get excited about the animals. Then Dusty helped Anson ride his bike in the park and across the street for an ice cream treat. I can't believe how big Anson looks riding his bike. Where did my babies go?

Little Mommy

I had to post this video of Ella being a cute little Mommy. She loves pushing her little baby dolls around in her stroller. And now she is into cleaning things with wipes and washing her hands, neither of which I discourage! She probably watched me scrubbing the house yesterday after our stomach flu epidemic! Glad to say we are all on the mend!

Some Ansonisms

Anson definitely keeps life interesting! I don't know what we would do without him! :o)

Today we were coming home from running errands and Anson was telling me how hungry he was. I started to name off the things I was going to fix him for lunch and one of the items was a vegetable. He said, "No thank you, I don't think I want any peas." So of course I went on to tell him that if he didn't eat his peas he wouldn't grow big and strong. He thought for a quick second and said,"That's OK Mommy, I'll just stay a little boy!" He always seems to be one step ahead of me!

And yesterday we had to drive about an hour away to run an errand for Dusty. We passed a Bass Pro Shops on the interstate and Anson said "Look Mommy! It's a fish mall!! Can we go there?" Now, what mother can resist a request to go to the mall?? Not this one! So I told him we could go on our way home. ... So on our way home I started to take the exit for the mall and he said, "Where are we going?" When I told him we were going to the "fish mall", he said "Jumpin' Jimminy, we're goin' to the fish mall!!!" I could not stop laughing! He told me that Wally the Walrus on Woody Woodpecker says "Jumpin' Jimminy" and then he said it for 5 minutes straight!

Then on our way home from the mall, he was very quiet which is quite rare. Out of the blue he asked, "If you are Daddy's wife, where's my wife?" :o) After laughing again, we had our first talk about marriage... it went something like this: One day, when you're at least 30, you will find a special girl who loves God and whom Mommy and Daddy love, oh, and you'll love her too... You get the point! :o)

Just wanted to write these down before I forget!

Week Highlights

Every girl needs a red purse!
Always looking for a challenge! He actually rode quite well while balancing on his soccer ball!

Chuck E Cheese fun! Ella was ready to bail out!

She love-a the pizza!

My big girl is feeding herself now!

Sunday: Taught Anson's Sunday School Class. It's always fun to see him in action! He has a crush on little blonde twins who squealed "Anson" in unison when he walked in! The each took one of his hands and lead him to the toys. Too cute!

Monday: Nothing out of the ordinary... just a trip to the chiropractor. Ella still cries every time!

Tuesday: Started out normal then Anson threw up all over the kitchen floor! Nice! Poor little guy was sick all morning and his face was literally green. After the one main incident he was fine, just tired, so I let him watch TV. I kept waiting for someone else to feel ill but we all remained well! Praise the Lord! That is the sickness I fear the most!

Wednesday: Anson much better... back to normal! That night we took him for his first trip to Chuck E. Cheese's! He had a blast! Ella enjoyed it too but didn't really get it. She just liked eating the pizza. We got a few cute pictures of the night.

Thursday: Cold and windy! We stayed inside most of the day. Anson and I worked in some of his workbooks. He is learning how to trace letters. He can identify all the letters and now we're working on numbers. In the evening Dusty and I watched the Gators win the national championship!! Go Gators! It was fun to watch them win! (And more fun to watch Dusty fret over every play!)

Friday: The stress of the game must have been too much on Dusty because Friday he came down with the flu! Poor guy could hardly move. I made him some chicken noodle soup and kept the drinks coming. I took Anson to our friend's house to play. He and Sagan had fun when they weren't arguing about whose turn it was! They both are going through that stage!

Saturday: Dusty still sick! He didn't get out of bed until 3:00 pm! But I think he has turned the corner and is getting a little better. I made my bi-weekly trip to Target with the kids. (Who am I kidding? I go almost every day!) We went to a new Target in Atlantic Station tht has a parking garage and a great view of the city skyline! Very cool! What more could you ask for, Target with a view!

Hope you enjoy your week! Look me up on facebook if you haven't already!! It is so much fun to find old friends and long lost cousins! :o)

She says Hi!!!

Ella just learned how to say "Hi" and it is so cute! She'll come walking into the room and say "Hi!!" and wave and be so proud of herself! Here is a quick video... she was a little distracted by Anson riding his bike but I got her saying her new word!

In other news, I just became addicted to Facebook! If you're on there, look me up! It is so fascinating how many people you can connect with in a matter of seconds!

Well, have to go prepare Anson's Sunday School lesson... I have to teach his class tomorrow!
